At BGRides Technologies, protecting your privacy and personal data is our utmost priority. This Privacy Policy details how we collect, process, and safeguard your personal information when utilizing the BGRides Ride-Hailing, Courier, and Food Delivery ecosystem across our mobile applications, web portals, and related services.

1. Information We Collect

  • Location Data (Precise and Approximate): We collect real-time GPS coordinates in the foreground and background (for active drivers during trips and passengers during active ride requests) to calculate accurate fares, match nearby drivers, display live maps, and ensure trip safety.
  • Profile Information: Full name, phone number, email address, password (securely hashed), and role credentials (passenger, driver, or restaurant partner).
  • Driver KYC Documents: Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC), driving license, and vehicle registration papers for mandatory safety and background verification.
  • Transaction & Trip Data: Pickup and drop-off addresses, distance traveled, offered and negotiated fares, order history, and chat messages between passenger and driver during active rides.

2. Data Protection & Encryption

All location streams, OTP transactions, and driver bids are transmitted via industry-standard 256-bit SSL/TLS encryption and protected by stateless JWT authentication. We maintain zero tolerance for data breaches and strictly adhere to data minimization principles.

🔒 Commitment Against Data Selling: We never sell, rent, or monetize your personal data to third parties, advertisers, or external marketing entities.

3. Device Permissions Disclosures

  • ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION & ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION: Used to pinpoint pickup and destination locations, track driver arrival, and verify delivery handovers.
  • CAMERA: Used by drivers and restaurant partners solely to capture CNIC documentation for KYC verification and photograph parcel/food handovers.
  • POST_NOTIFICATIONS: Used to deliver critical real-time alerts regarding ride requests, driver dispatch, parcel status updates, and fare bids.
  • VIBRATE: Used to alert drivers of instant incoming requests and passenger ride acceptances.

4. Data Retention and Account Deletion

We retain your information only as long as necessary to provide transportation, parcel delivery, and legal accountability. You have the full right to review, update, or permanently delete your account and associated personal data at any time.

🗑️ Account & Data Deletion Request: You can initiate account and data deletion directly inside your profile settings or by sending an email with the subject "Delete Account" to support@bgrides.com. All personal identifiers will be permanently purged within 7 business days.
